Class Teacher - Miss Bailey
Teaching assistant - Mrs Boyle
Welcome back to a new half-term I hope you all had a restful break.
See below for an insight into our learning this half-term.
Curriculum
In English, we will develop our writing skills through our class book 'Wisp' by Zana Fraillon. Our writing outcome will be to write the story from the point of view of the wisp applying Gateway and Mastery keys taught throughout the unit.
In Maths, our focus will be on length and perimeter, fractions and mass.
In Geography, we will be working to answer the question: What are the similarities and differences between the different areas of Europe?
In History, we will be working to answer the question – How have the Ancient Greeks influenced us today?
In Science, we will be exploring light and shadows. We will learn that light is needed to see, how light reflects from surfaces, how shadows are formed, and how their size changes. We will also learn how to stay safe in sunlight through simple investigations and observations.
In RE, our topic is Galilee to Jerusalem. We will be learning about Jesus as the Messiah and what this means for Christians. We will explore Bible stories, Jesus’ miracles, and his message of love and service, and learn how Catholics live this out through the Sacraments and caring for others.
