In Year 4 and 5 they are reading a book set in the Blue John caves in Derbyshire. The name of the book is Blue John by Berlil Doherty. We have read chapters Fire and Ice, in which we meet our character 'Blue John' as he wakes from a thousand-year sleep. He explores the caves, swinging on the stalagmites and stalactites. 

In Year 2/3 they are finishing a book called The Last Wolf and are going to start a book about a Grandad's Secret Giant.

In Robins they have moved onto writing their very own story based on the book 'Toys in Space' with a beginning, middle and end! Nursery book is reading a book all about emotions. Teaching them about happiness and sadness. As well as being excited, scared and feeling lonely.
