Important

Please make sure children come to school in their PE kits on Tuesday and Friday.

Reading – Please hear your child read every day. Sign their reading record book so you can share their progress with me.

Times Table Rockstars (y2) – The Times Tables Rockstar app is a fun way for your child to learn and remember their times tables. Please support your child to learn their tables by practising for 5 minutes each day. 

Homework – Please practise reading and Times Tables with your child.  Complete one activity a week.  Please bring the homework book on Wednesday so that I can see the wonderful work you have been doing.

Forest School is on a four-weekly cycle for each class in the school. This term, our only session is Monday  20th April.  Please can you make sure the children come to school in wellies,  warm clothes and a coat as they will be learning outside. Please bring their change of uniform in their bag.

Below is a short insight into some of the things we will be learning this half-term.

In English, we will  be reading the book Toys in space.  By the end of the unit the children will write a story based on the structure of toys that go into space with a change of character

In Maths, we will be learning about money and fractions

In Religious Education,  the children will learn about Easter, the Ascension and Pentecost.

In Science, the children will be learning about growing healthy plants.

In History, we will learn about famous explorers and their significance..

In Geography, we  will learn about the seven ontinents and five oceans of the world.

In Physical Education, the children will learn ball skills and string a ball.
