History Curriculum Intent

At Christ the King Catholic and C of E Primary School our Intent is to give children a History curriculum which enables them to establish a sense of identity, community and family.

Our aim is to provide exciting, practical experiences that build resilience and well-being and extend their historical knowledge. History is led through enquiry-based learning to encourage questions and interpretation of the past.

Hello, my name is Mrs Leigh and I lead History here at Christ the King and I love being able to share my love of history and the past with our children. For me, the past creates the present and it is impossible to navigate the world unless you understand history. At weekends, I love to explore local history of my city, a place I am very proud of, The Potteries.
