World Book Day was last Thursday! The day is in celebration of all things reading. 

The whole school came in our PJ's, even the teachers! Nice Onesie Mrs Leigh! In Robins class they celebrated by decorating their own bookmarks and in Owls they designed their very own book covers, complete with a blurb. 

Each class had campfire stories in the hall, with marshmallows and comfy cushions which Miss Kalnins and Miss Bailey worked hard to organise. We sat and listened as our teachers read stories to us. We also watched a live stream from the World Book Day charity in which two of our favourite authors read their stories! We absolutely loved Helen Stevens and Michael Rosen's dramatic readings. 

Some of our favourite authors include: David Walliams, JK Rowling, Jeff Kinney, Tom Gates and David Pilkey.
